Louis Kwong - The Forbidden Dream

Yu He-tao and Yu He-bao were twin brothers whose father was a former high-ranking government official in Beijing. They had completely different characters, hobbies and political views. In 1989, the elder brother, He-tao, had become a senior army officer while his younger brother, He-bao, had gone to Hong Kong to pursue a research study with the world-renowned university. When the pro-democracy movement took place in Tiananmen Square, He-tao’s prospective father-in-law was appointed the commander-in-chief of the task force to clear the square of demonstrators and he himself the deputy field commander. Unfortunately He-bao had also come to Beijing with the Hong Kong delegation to give spiritual and medical support to the student demonstrators. What would happen when two brothers confronted each other on opposite sides in the square?
